Questions, answered.

What the app does, where the numbers come from, and what happens to your data. Anything missing, write to us — a person answers.

Where do the numbers come from?

Your own store. Units sold, visitor counts, cart activity, and trending signals are computed from your Shopify order and product data and from live traffic on your storefront. Nothing is templated or invented. If a number isn’t real, it doesn’t show.

How do I install it?

Install from the Shopify App Store, then add the Sold So Many app block to your product template in the theme editor. The app syncs your catalogue and order history in the background — most stores see proof on their storefront within a few minutes of the first sync finishing.

Will it slow my store down?

No. Proof loads asynchronously — your store renders first, the proof appears after. It never blocks the page and never stalls a render.

Does it work with my theme?

Yes, on any Online Store 2.0 theme with app block support. That includes Dawn, Prestige, Impulse, Symmetry, and most modern Shopify themes. If your theme is older or heavily customised, tell us and we’ll look at it with you.

Can I control how it looks?

Yes. Six preset families, three density levels (subtle, balanced, prominent), and per-placement control over which proof appears on which pages. You can also turn individual signals off entirely.

What does it cost, and what happens after the trial?

There’s a 14-day free trial. After that your plan starts at the visitor tier you picked, billed through Shopify — no contract, cancel any time from your Shopify admin. If you don’t pick a plan, the app pauses and your storefront goes back to normal.

What data does the app collect?

Store data (products, inventory, orders) and pseudonymous storefront activity used to compute and measure the proof. It does not store shopper names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, or payment details. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

Your store is flagged for deletion right away, and the data is deleted when Shopify sends its shop redaction request 48 hours after uninstall. We keep only an aggregate, PII-free summary of the account for our own records. Reinstalling within that window keeps your settings.

How do I get help?

Use our contact form, or the chat inside the app. We answer every message ourselves.
