Sold So Many vs Nudgify
Both apps show shoppers what other people are doing. Both take the question of real versus invented numbers seriously — Nudgify labels which of its nudges are backed by data it collected and which a merchant wrote itself. They differ in where the proof appears, how far beyond Shopify they reach, and — the part that surprises people — what they count when they bill you.
Everything about Nudgify here comes from its Shopify App Store listing and its own documentation, read on 16 October 2026. Where a figure can change, check it yourself; the sources are linked at the bottom.

Where Nudgify is the right choice
Being straight about this is more useful than pretending there is one winner.
- You want notifications rather than on-page labels. The two formats do different jobs: a notification interrupts, a label sits beside the product and is read by a shopper already looking at it. Nudgify is built for the interruption.
- You want inline nudges without a product-page label. This is worth stating plainly because it is the obvious counter to "Nudgify only does pop-ups": it also offers inline nudges — Low Stock, Order Soon, Free Delivery, Review, Rating, Discount, Cart Counter and Selling Fast — which you embed anywhere on your page with a tag. If you want on-page urgency, Nudgify has it.
- You are not Shopify-only. Nudgify covers WordPress and WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento 2, PrestaShop and Wix as well as Shopify. If you run several stores on different platforms, Sold So Many cannot match that.
- Your proof lives outside your store. Google Reviews, Trustpilot, Capterra, Mailchimp sign-ups and Stripe sales are all sources Nudgify can display. Sold So Many reads only your Shopify data.
- You want urgency mechanics. Order Soon, Selling Fast, Free Delivery and discount nudges are part of the product. Sold So Many deliberately has none of them.
- You want a lower entry price. Lite is $9 a month against $19 for Sold So Many's cheapest paid tier.
Where Sold So Many is the right choice
- You want the number printed on the product, not floating beside it. A label on the product image and next to Add to cart lives where the decision is made, and nothing covers your storefront.
- You want the claim and the data tied together. Every label is listed under the exact store data that has to exist before it can render, and all 25 of them are published so you can check any sentence before you switch it on.
- You never want a countdown or a discount timer. If that style of urgency is not something you are willing to run, the absence is the feature.
- You want a free plan that is the whole product, unbranded. Every label, placement, preset and language is in the free tier — the tiers price traffic, not features, and nothing is watermarked.
The difference that actually costs money
This is the part worth reading twice, because the headline prices are not comparable.
Nudgify bills by impressions. Sold So Many bills by monthly visitors.
An impression is one nudge shown to one shopper. A single visitor can generate several — browse three products and a nudge may fire on each page. So 10,000 impressions and 10,000 visitors are not the same amount of traffic, and a busy store can exhaust an impression allowance well before it runs out of visitors.
Neither metric is dishonest; they measure different things. But if you are comparing the two on price, compare what you are actually buying: work out how many shoppers you have and how many nudges each one would see, then check that against each allowance.
The tiers on the Shopify listing, side by side:
| Sold So Many | Nudgify | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 10,000 monthly visitors, every feature | 1,000 impressions/month, with branding |
| Entry | $19 — 20,000 visitors | $9 — 10,000 impressions |
| Mid | $45 — 50,000 visitors | $29 — 90,000 impressions |
| Upper | $85 — 100,000 visitors | $49 — 300,000 impressions |
| Annual | $180 / $420 / $780 | $90 / $290 / $490 |
One more difference in shape: Nudgify's free tier is a trial-sized allowance — 1,000 impressions — while Sold So Many's is 10,000 visitors, which most small stores never exceed. If you want to run this for a year without paying, that gap matters more than the $9 entry price.
How they are the same
It is worth saying plainly, because the category has a bad reputation and it would be easy to imply otherwise:
- Both separate real data from merchant-written copy, and say which is which. Nudgify marks data-backed nudges "Verified by Nudgify" and merchant-written ones "Powered by Nudgify". Sold So Many has no field for entering a count by hand at all — a label with no real data behind it simply does not render.
- Both read live store activity rather than a static list.
- Both install without theme edits.
- Both let you choose which signals to show.
- Both are billed through Shopify. This is true of every app on the App Store, so it is not a difference.
